Antonius calls. Why
Antonius. A small pair plus a flush draw is too much to fold to a button that bets wide. Calling keeps the bluffs in and keeps his tournament alive; an all-in raise folds the worse hands and gets called by better.
The River
- Antonius checks.
- Mustafov bets 3.5M.

The Famous Decision
Antonius. The ace is the perfect scare card for a chip leader to bluff with. Many of the button’s bets were draws that all missed, and bottom pair beats almost all of them.
Antonius called, and his pair of deuces beat the bluff.
The Result
Antonius wins at the showdown with Pair of Twos.

- AntoniusJ♥2♥Wins
Why It Is Famous
Patrik Antonius called the chip leader’s river all in with bottom pair, after about six minutes, three-handed. He went on to win the event, his first Triton title.
What to Take from It
The price says how often you must be right to break even. An ace that misses every draw is a classic bluffing card, so, even without seeing his cards, bottom pair was close.
Sources
What the sources do not say. All the sizes come from one report. The cards and the call are confirmed by others. The exact date is not documented. One report says Antonius called with "jack-high", but the deuce on the board gave him a pair. Only Mustafov, Antonius and the small blind are at the table for this hand; stacks other than the river call are not documented.
